The Neuroscience Seminar Journal Club:
For students (required) led by a faculty facilitator.
This one credit hour course meets biweekly throughout the academic
year and is offered to neuroscience students from all disciplines.
The course alternates between student presentations and discussion
one week and the scheduled Neuroscience Seminar the next week. Students
present a review/critique of a published manuscript from the upcoming
speaker’s current research. The host faculty for the seminar
speaker facilitates the discussion. Grades are based upon seminar
attendance, discussion participation and their presentations. The
combination of presentation and discussion prior to the speaker’s
visit has proven a very effective tool to increase student participation
and enhance their interactions during the seminar and student-speaker
lunches. For more information contact Breck
